PROGRAMS AT the SPOT.
At The SPOT, our programs have been intentionally designed to meet community needs — keeping what already works while thinking outside of traditional therapy service models to offer families solutions that fit their lives. Jointly led by our speech-language pathologists and occupational therapists, our therapy group programs in Vancouver bring children, youth and young adults, and their families together to learn, play, and grow in a space designed for exactly that.
We're rolling out new programs as we grow. Join our interest list to be the first to hear what's coming — and to find the right fit for your family.
LED BY REGISTERED therapists.
Every program at The SPOT is co-designed and co-led by registered speech-language pathologists and occupational therapists, built on the same child-led/interest-led, play-based, neuro-affirming approach we bring to everything we do.
COLLABORATIVE
by design.
Our SLPs and OTs work side by side, so children and families get the benefit of both perspectives in one space — supporting communication, movement, regulation, play, and connection – together.
Every child is unique, which is why we offer a range of programs designed for different ages, interests, and support needs. Depending on the program, you may be able to register right away, or we may start with a quick chat to ensure the experience is a good fit for your child and family.
A FIT FOR
every family.
SPOT programs.
All programs are designed and co-led by our SLPs and OTs.
GROWING TOGETHER: early years support.
Welcoming space to play, learn, ask questions, and connect with SLPs, OTs, and other families.
These caregiver and child play groups are all about connection — for little ones, and for the grown-ups who love them. Families with babies and toddlers come together to play, explore, and learn, with a speech-language pathologist and occupational therapist on hand to share strategies, answer questions, and connect with you and your child along the way.

Open to all families —
-
no referral needed
-
no diagnosis needed
-
no concern required to join
More than anything, these groups are about building community — a place to feel supported, meet other families, and know there's a friendly SLP or OT in your corner from the very start.
COLLABORATIVE THERAPY groups.
SLP and OT together, in one supportive, play-based small group.
Our collaborative therapy groups are designed for children who may benefit from support with communication, social interaction, emotional regulation, play, motor skills, sensory processing, or participating confidently in everyday activities.
By bringing speech-language pathology and occupational therapy together, children can build a wide range of skills in one supportive, play-based environment. Through games, movement, creative activities, and shared experiences with peers, children have opportunities to practice communication, develop friendships, improve self-regulation skills, build confidence, and learn new ways to participate in the activities that matter to them.
Supports skills like:
-
communication
-
self-regulation
-
social interaction
-
confidence
-
play & motor skills
-
everyday participation

These groups are especially helpful for children who learn best through doing, interacting, and practicing skills in real-life situations alongside others.
Families benefit from the combined expertise of speech-language pathologists and occupational therapists, along with the opportunity for their child to learn and grow in a supportive small-group peer environment. Our therapists provide guidance and strategies to support growth not only in the group but also at home, at school, and in the community.
SPOT THERAPY ASSISTANT program.
Integrated One-to-One Support.
Our therapy assistant sessions provide 1:1 individualized support with a therapy assistant trained in both speech-language pathology and occupational therapy strategies. This approach means your child is supported through a consistent, integrated SLP and OT lens that brings communication, regulation, movement, play, and participation together in one session.

Sessions are guided by goals developed in collaboration with our SLP and OT team, ensuring strategies are cohesive and aligned across disciplines rather than separated. This allows children to receive consistent support that carries across skills and settings, helping them build confidence and independence in everyday activities.
Therapy assistant sessions are a great option for families looking for ongoing, accessible support within a collaborative care model that reflects how children naturally learn and grow.
WORKSHOPS FOR PRESCHOOLS + SCHOOLS.
We love sharing what we know. The SPOT offers educational workshops and presentations for daycares, preschools, schools, and community organizations, bringing our neuro-affirming, play-based approach to the educators who support children every day.
Whether you're looking to better understand communication, regulation, sensory needs, participation, or play-based learning, our speech-language pathologists and occupational therapists share practical, supportive strategies that can be used right away in your classroom or program.
Because our workshops are co-designed through both speech and occupational therapy perspectives, educators receive a cohesive approach rather than separate sets of recommendations. We focus on how communication, regulation, movement, play, and participation work together, helping your team create supportive environments that meet the needs of the children they support.

We offer workshops for daycares, preschools, schools, and organizations across Vancouver and the Lower Mainland or virtually across BC.
